Sunday Worship
We know that when you walk into a new church for the first time, it can be a little overwhelming. So, we hope to give you a bit of a guide, so you know what to expect.
Our 9:00 a.m. service, features music selections by our choir, organ and piano. We’ll sing familiar hymns and Pastor Keyarae will deliver a scripture based message.
At 10:00 a.m. our community comes together to eat, learn and grow together. Coffee and donuts are served in the Narthex. Adults are welcome to drop into one of our Bible Study classes or “drop-in” open small group in the Narthex.
Our Contemporary Worship at 10:30 am, features our praise band and a scripture based message by Pastor Keyarae. This service is family friendly, we sometimes have “Messy Church” where families work on a mission or learning activity together as a congregation. Weekly Children’s Church is available during the sermon and nursery care is also open from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
The youth group meets on Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for Bible study and activities.
The Holy Spirit is in this place, we’re here to worship together love each other in grace.
What We Believe
We believe in the Triune God: God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe the Holy Bible (Old and New Testament) is the primary source and guide for our faith and practice, revealing all that is necessary for our salvation.
We believe humanity is fallen, yet by God’s grace in Jesus Christ, we are empowered to freely respond in faith, do good works, and be born again into new life.
We believe Baptism and the Holy Communion are means of grace. Baptism signifies our entrance into the household of faith, and we welcome children as heirs of the Kingdom under Christ’s atonement. The Holy Communion is a memorial of Christ’s sacrifice, through which we spiritually receive Him and share in union with Christ and with one another until He comes.
Our Pastor
Rev. Keyarae Yi was born and raised in south Korea. His home education was shaped by a Korean Methodist Church background. In his 20’s, he served as a praise and worship minister. He completed his first M.Div. at a Methodist Theological University in his home country. To broaden his theological perspective, he enrolled at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C., in 2015 and graduated with a second M.Div. in 2018. He then moved to Missouri, where he was ordained as an Elder, and he has continued his pastoral ministry at various churches ever since. Altogether, he has spent nearly 20 years in ministry in Korea and the United States.
In his free time, he enjoys watching movies, reading, singing, playing table tennis, and, more recently, pickleball. He is blessed to share his life with his beloved wife, Hyejung Namkung.
